PRUSS and OMB launch Next-Generation Control Valves – PROcv
Hannover / Bergamo, 20.05.2026 – Two “dinosaurs” of the valve industry have joined forces to redefine the control valve market: PRUSS GmbH of Germany, with more than 135 years of experience in bespoke control valve design, and Italy’s OMB Valves S.p.A., renowned for its unparalleled expertise in large-scale industrial valve production, announce their strategic partnership.
Together, the two companies have developed a new series of standard control valves: PROcv – a high-performance range designed for global use across a wide variety of industrial applications. The name PROcv combines the initials of both partners and stands for quality, reliability, and future-ready engineering.
Engineering Excellence Meets Serial Production
While the new valve series has been engineered in Hannover, Germany, production is carried out at OMB’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Bergamo, Italy. This German-Italian collaboration combines the best of both worlds: advanced engineering and innovation on one side, and efficient, scalable production on the other.

The new PROcv series will be officially unveiled today at the IVS – Industrial Valve Summit in Bergamo, Italy. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the technical advantages and the consistent standardization of this new generation of control valves.
Technical Highlights of the PROcv Series
The new low-pressure (LP) control valve series features a highly standardized and modular design, offering excellent flexibility:
• Type: Straight globe control valve, flanged acc. to ASME B16.34
• Sizes: 1” to 12”
• Materials: WCC and CF8M
• Pressure Classes: Class 150, 300, 600 & 900
• Trim Design: Cage style, single-stage, replaceable seat (plug-in design)
• Leakage Class: Class IV + V with metallic seat sealing
• Special Feature: For sizes >4”, balanced design with metallic piston rings
• Temperature Range: -20°C to 450°C (graphite gasket system)
• Standardization:
o One standardized (max.) seat diameter per body size
o Identical internals for all pressure ratings
o Three standardized Cv values per NPS and characteristics, adjusted via drilling pattern (max. seat diameter)
• Flow Characteristics: Linear and equal percentage
Flexible Actuation Options
PROcv control valves are equipped with:
• PRUSS PPA pneumatic diaphragm actuators
• Electric multi-turn actuators (drive output form A, with integrated thread nut)
This ensures maximum flexibility for integration into a wide range of plant configurations.
